Dr Ronald Ling

Dr Ling is a veteran of healthcare investing in Asia with over 20 years experience in consulting, operations and private equity roles. In recent years he has applied this understanding of healthcare systems to HealthTech and is currently focused on applications of HealthTech to improve cost-effectiveness, quality and access of healthcare delivery.

Dr Ling is a co-founder of Galen Growth Asia, Asia’s first ‘connector’ devoted to HealthTech – aiming to foster a sustainable and vibrant HealthTech ecosystem across Asia to enable improved health outcomes. Additionally he is CEO of ConnectedHealth – a Singapore-based HealthTech company developing remote monitoring solutions for chronic diseases.

Previously, Dr Ling was Managing Director of Pricewaterhouse Coopers Healthcare practice based in Singapore and the firm's Asia Healthcare Leader.

Dr Ling’s investment experience was as a Partner with Symphony Asia (formerly Schroder Capital Partners), a leading private equity firm with strong interests in healthcare. During his 10 year tenure at Symphony Dr Ling led healthcare deals across Asia through all phases of the investment cycle including evaluation, structuring, operational enhancement and exits. His deal experience includes investments into Parkway Holdings (Asia's largest private healthcare services company) and Strides Arcolab (a mid-tier listed Indian generic pharmaceutical company), among others.

Dr Ling started his business career as a consultant with McKinsey & Co based in London. During this period he worked for a range of pharmaceutical, consumer and retail clients across Europe and the US.

Dr Ling holds an MA (1st class) degree from Oxford University, an MBBS degree in Medicine from London University and an MBA from INSEAD.
